Privacy

Nothing you type. There are no accounts, no comment boxes, no newsletter sign-up and no contact form. The only way to send us anything is by email, to an address you choose on the contact page.

Aggregate visit counts. The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which record page views and performance timings without cookies and without an identifier that could be tied back to you. We see how many people read a page and how fast it loaded, not who they were.

Ordinary server logs. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser, the page requested) for a short period for security and reliability. We do not export or analyse them.

The site sets no cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. Your browser may keep a copy of pages and images it has already fetched; that is caching, and it stays on your device.

Book pages link to Amazon for purchase, and author pages may link to an author’s Amazon page. Once you follow such a link you are on Amazon’s site and under Amazon’s privacy policy. We receive nothing from Amazon about you.

Your message and address are kept in the mailbox you wrote to for as long as the conversation needs them, and are not added to any list. Ask, and we will delete the thread.
